Description:
To 2¼" snout-vent length. Color greenish, gray, or brown, with scattered darker spots or blotches. Bony lump between eyes. Wedge-shaped spade on each hind foot. Eye with vertical pupil in bright light.
Elevation Range:
Generally below 6000' in eastern Colorado; to 6250' in Fremont County. Also at 7500-8000' in San Luis Valley.

Listed as Scaphiopus bombifrons in some publications.
